Your choices, including younger players
In versions with optional analytics, a neutral age question determines eligibility on your device. Your exact age is not saved or sent; only an eligibility category is stored. Players under 16, players who skip the question, and players who have not answered have optional analytics and crash sharing switched off. All can play the complete game.
Eligible players can choose gameplay statistics and Android crash reports, gameplay statistics only, or neither. Optional processing is based on consent. Change your choice in Settings → Privacy & data. Back closes the page without changing your choice. Declining does not affect rewards or gameplay.
Withdrawal stops new optional collection and uploads initiated by the game. Requests already in flight may have reached the provider. It does not erase information previously sent. Android crash reports are sent on a later launch only while crash-sharing permission remains granted.
Progress saved on your device
Scores, ice, outfits, awards, boost inventory, settings and privacy choices stay in local app or browser storage. There is no required account or cloud save. Settings → Reset all progress deletes game progress and its backup, but leaves your privacy choice and any platform achievements unchanged. Clearing the app’s or browser’s storage removes local data. Progress does not automatically transfer to another device.
Optional gameplay statistics
When you opt in, Google Analytics for Firebase on Android or Google Analytics on the web processes pseudonymous app-instance or browser identifiers, app version, device/browser/operating-system details, approximate location derived from network information, and session information.
Game events include maps, runs, distance, duration, failure reasons, tutorial and screen visits, best scores, playtime, outfits, awards, gifts, boosts, virtual ice earned or spent, and performance summaries such as frame rate and memory use. We use these to improve game balance, usability, reliability and performance.
We do not include names, email addresses, precise GPS location, contacts or payment information in game events. We do not set an account user ID or use advertising IDs, Google Signals or personalized advertising. These optional identifiers are pseudonymous, not anonymous.
Web analytics uses first-party Google Analytics cookies only after permission, with a configured lifetime of 90 days. Declining removes the game’s analytics cookies. Browser privacy tools may also block optional analytics.
Optional Android crash reports
With your permission, Firebase Crashlytics receives installation identifiers, device/OS/app details, crash stack traces and diagnostic information so we can fix crashes. We do not deliberately attach personal information. This crash-reporting SDK is not used in the web edition. Consented events or reports may be queued while offline and sent when connectivity returns.
Optional platform achievements
The Android preview allows eligible players to choose Google Play Games from Awards, separately from analytics. Google processes sign-in and achievement identifiers and completion associated with your platform account. We do not send your gamer ID to analytics. Local awards and rewards work without connecting. Under-16 and unknown-age players are not offered this connection. Resetting the game does not delete platform records; use your platform account’s privacy controls. An iOS/Game Center release is not currently available.
Hosting, providers and retention
Cloudflare serves and secures this website and the web game. Ordinary hosting requests can include IP addresses and technical request information independently of optional analytics. This information page does not load an analytics SDK.
Google/Firebase processes optional analytics and diagnostics. Transfers may occur outside your country, including to the United States, under the providers’ applicable safeguards. Connections use HTTPS. Read Firebase’s privacy information, Google’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Google Analytics user- and event-level retention is configured to 14 months, with reset on new activity off. Aggregated reports may be retained differently. Crashlytics retains crash traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before starting removal from live and backup systems. No analytics warehouse export is configured. Local game data remains until you reset or clear it.
Support and data requests
Email [email protected] for support or to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection where applicable, or information about international processing. Put “Penguin Ice Run privacy” in the subject and tell us whether you use Android or the web. Do not send passwords, identity documents or your exact age.
Because the game has no required account, an email address alone may not identify optional analytics records. We will explain what limited information is necessary to locate a record and any limits on what can be identified or deleted. Withdrawing consent prevents future collection; clearing local progress is a separate action. You may complain to your local data-protection authority, including CNIL in France.
Updates
We will update this page when the game’s data practices change. Material changes to optional collection require an updated notice and, where needed, a new choice.
